OVERVIEW:
Hemis festival commemorates the birth anniversary of Guru Padmasambhava, the founder of Tibetan Buddhism. The main attraction of the festival are the locals dressed in their dazzling and multi colored traditional attires and Chamm dance or masked dance performed with musical drums and cymbals. During the festival, one will also come across number of stalls stocked up with an array of souvenirs and handicrafts.
CANCELLATION POLICIES:
In case of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/ unavoidable reasons, we must be informed in writing. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive a letter in written and cancellation charges would be as follows:
Arrival at Leh airport. Rest of the day to acclimatize. Afternoon visit to Shanti stupa and market. Overnight at Hotel
Day free to witness the Hemis festival. Evening return back to Leh. Overnight at hotel in Leh
After breakfast leaves for Nubra Valley, driving across Khardong-la (alt: 18,380 ft). Sightseeing of the Sumoor area. Later check into a fixed camp. Overnight in camps at Nubra
Morning visit Deskit, Hundar, and the Sand Dunes to enjoy a camel safari on the double-humped Bactrian camels. Later drive back to Leh. Overnight at hotel in Leh
Travel to Pangong Lake en-route crossing the Chang-la pass. Rest of the day to relax along the lake. Overnight in camps at Pangong
Morning drive back to Leh. Also, visit Shey Palace & Thiksey monastery. Overnight in hotel at Leh
Transfer in time to the airport to connect onwards destination flight.
