Arrive Delhi. Meet our representative upon arrival in Delhi and check-in at the hotel. India's capital & a major gateway to the country, Delhi is contemporary and a bustling metropolis which successfully combines in its fold the ancient & the modern. Its strategic location was one of the prime reasons why successive dynasties chose it as their seat of power. New Delhi also reflects the legacy the British left behind. Overnight in Delhi.
In the morning, you will check out of the hotel and transfer to the railway station to board your train to Chandigarh (0550 / 0838) – Breakfast will be served in train. Arrive Chandigarh and proceed to visit Mata Mansa Devi Mandir near Majra. This temple is the holy abode of Mansa Goddess. Devotees’ horde this place to the tie a threat around the tree as it is believed that wishes of people come true by doing it. After the visit continue towards Shimla. Arrive Shimla, the picturesque capital of Himachal Pradesh was once the summer capital of British India. Spread 12km along a ridge that overlooks terraced hillsides and cultivations, Shimla is magnificently covered in dense forests of oak, pine, fur and rhododendron. In Shimla the altitude is 2,196m. In the evening explore the Mall Road, and Ridge. Overnight at the Hotel.
Visit Jakhoo Temple which is dedicated to Lord Hanuman and Kali Bari Temple dedicated to Goddess Kali. Afternoon drive towards Sarahan. Enroute visiting famous Sun Temple situated in the small village of Neerath. Sarahan a small village is known for its famous Bhimakali Temple which is dedicated to Goddess Kali. This temple is one-of-its-kinds having a unique architecture which is nowhere to be found. The temple has the main deity as Bhimakali Ma, this temple is situated at an altitude of 2150 m. Arrive Sarahan and check in at hotel.
After breakfast visit to iconic Bhimakali Sarahan perched on a ridgeline overlooking the Himalaya. Later make your way to Manali, a haven for nature lovers surrounded by the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar mountain ranges. Manali provides a perfect combination of adventure and relaxation. You will cross Jalori Pass enroute that offers splendid views of the Himalayas. Evening free to explore Mall Road. Overnight at hotel.
After breakfast at hotel, Visit the Hidimba or Dhungri Temple. Erected in 1533, this temple is dedicated to the local deity Hidimba, wife of the Pandava prince, Bhim. The temple is noted for its four-storeyed pagoda and exquisite wooden carvings. Visit the Manu Maharishi Temple, dedicated to sage Manu. Later visit Vashisht Kund. Vaishisht, around 3 km from Manali, boasts a pair of old stone temples, opposite each other above the main square. The temple tanks are underground hot-water/sulfur springs. Excursion to Anjani Mahadev situated within walking distance from Solang valley. Afternoon, drive down to Mandi. Once you arrive, check in and overnight at hotel.
After breakfast proceed for the visit of Mandi. This town is known for its rich history and cultural heritage, often referred to as the "Varanasi of the Hills" because of numerous temples in the town. One iconic temple is the Bhutnath Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Other noteworthy temples in the area include the Triloknath Temple, Panchvaktra Temple, and Ardhanarishvara Temple. Visit Parashar Kund. Located at an altitude of 2730 mtr. Prashar is known for Prashar Lake, sloppy meadows, dense forest and the panoramic view of snow-clad ranges of Dhauladhar. The “Prashar Lake” which has perimeter of about 300 mtr. is decorated by a floating island in it. Its crystal clear water adds to the charm of this scenic spot. Traditionally, it is believed that the lake was formed as result of striking of rod (Gurj) by Rishi Prashar and water came out and took shape of the lake. An ancient Pagoda style temple dedicated to the Rishi Prashar, the patron God of Mandi region, stands beside the lake. The temple has been constructed by the King Ban Sen in 13-14th century with the Rishi being present in the form of a Pindi (stone). It is also said that the whole temple was built by using single deodar tree and it took 12 years to complete the temple construction. A walk around the lake gives a mystical experience of calmness of the surroundings. A visit to Parashar is a perfect blend of spiritual journey and exploring into the serene and beautiful Himalayan mountains. After the visit back to Mandi. Overnight at hotel.
After breakfast at hotel, proceed towards Baijnath Temple. This temple is one of the oldest Shiva Temple. It was built in 1204 AD and is more than 800-year-old. Continue towards to Chamunda Devi Temple. This ancient temple dates back to the 16th century. The temple is dedicated to Chamunda Devi, an incarnation of Goddess Durga. The word Chamunda has been derived from two words, Chanda and Munda. As per the mythological legends, goddess Kali killed two notorious demons Chanda and Munda in a fierce battle at this place in ancient time. Hence, the goddess is known and worshipped as Chamunda. Later proceed towards Kangra town to visit Brajeshwari Temple. This Temple is popular for its elaborated fabrications along with the rich rituals performed there. The Bajreshwari Devi Temple at Kangra is an ancient temple with many mythological stories woven around it. At one time, it was one of the richest temples in India. The main deity here is Mata Bajreshwari Devi. She is also known as Mata Brajeshwari, Vajrabai and Vajrayogini Devi. Overnight at hotel.
After breakfast at hotel, proceed towards Maa Baglamukhi Temple. Goddess Baglamukhi is considered to be one of the ten Mahavidyas (great wisdom goddess). She is worshipped as the keeper of secrets, provider of occult powers, and the one who can subdue any evil force. Continue towards Jawala Ji shrine. Jawala Ji or Jwala devi temple is one of the 51 Shaktipeeths and is one of the highly venerated Shakti Temples. This is believed to be the first ever temple built by the Pandavas. Jawala Ji is a Devi Temple dedicated to goddess of light. Sati’s tongue is believed to have fallen at the very place where Jwala devi Temple is now situated. The Tongue of sati is represented by Holy Flames or Jwala that is perpetually burning. Jwala devi temple as a center of faith is unparallel and unique. There is no deity or idol that is worshiped. It has the series of natural flames or Jyotis since times immemorial believed to be the symbol of Goddess. Later drive towards Pragpur village to visit ancient Kaleshwar Mahadev Temple. The temple is dedicated to the worship of the Hindu deity, Shiva. This temple enshrines a unique ‘lingam’, which is found deep below the ground level. Evening, arrive Chintpurni and visit the temple. This is the old Temple of Mata Bhagwati Chinnamasta Devi. According to one of the sacred books of Sanatam Dharm, Shri Markandeye Puran, after killing of all the Asuras and upon victory in the big war, Maa Bhagwati's 2 'sahyoginis', Jaya and Vijaya who had killed the various Asuras and drank their blood, were still thirst for more blood. So, Maa cut her own head and quenched the thirst of her sahyoginis with her own blood. Since then, Maa Bhagwati's this roop was called as Maa Chinnamastika or Mata Chinnamasta (Chinna is without and Masta is Head). Overnight at hotel.
After breakfast at hotel, proceed towards Shri Naina devi Temple. This temple is positioned on hilltop in Bilaspur District of Himachal Pradesh. You can reach the peak of hill by following the concrete stairs or using cable car facility. This temple is considered holy and several mythologies are also linked with it. Afterwards, drive to Chandigarh for boarding train to Delhi (1515 / 1823). Arrive Delhi and connect to your onward flight.
