Arrive Delhi. Meet our representative upon arrival in Delhi and check-in at the hotel. India's capital & a major gateway to the country, Delhi is contemporary and a bustling metropolis which successfully combines in its fold the ancient & the modern. Its strategic location was one of the prime reasons why successive dynasties chose it as their seat of power. New Delhi also reflects the legacy the British left behind. Overnight in Delhi.
In the morning, after breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and transfer to the airport to board your flight to Srinagar. Picturesque and enchanting, Srinagar is cradled high in the lofty green Himalayas and hailed all over the world for its incredible natural beauty. Surrounded by mountain peaks, lush green valleys, glistening lakes, temples and spectacular Mughal-era gardens, the city has inspired poets through centuries. Srinagar, is situated in the heart of the Kashmir Valley with the Nagin and the Dal Lake adding to its beauty. Upon arrival in Srinagar, Tourism Scouts representatives or tour guide will meet you and directly proceed to visit Mughal Gardens. The Mughal Gardens: With terraced lawns, cascading fountains, paint-box-bright flowerbeds with the panorama of the Dal in front of them – the three Mughal Gardens of Nishat and Shalimar are the Mughal Emperors' concept of paradise and are today very popular places for picnics and excursions. Nishat Bagh: Situated on the banks of the Dal Lake, with the Zabarwan Mountains as its backdrop, this “Garden of Love” commands a magnificent view of the lake and the snow-capped Pir-Panjal Mountain range which stands far away to the west of the valley. Nishat was designed in 1633 AD by Asaf Khan, brother of Nur Jehan. Shalimar Bagh: Built by Emperor Jehangir for his wife Nur Jehan, Shalimar, is a beautiful garden with sweeping vistas over gardens and lakes, and shallow terraces. The garden has four terraces, rising one above the other. A canal lined with polished stones and supplied with water from Harwan runs through the middle of the garden. The fourth terrace, by far the best, was once reserved for royal ladies. After the visit check in at Houseboat. Late afternoon Shikara ride on Dal Lake visiting floating gardens. Dinner and overnight in houseboat.
