After sightseeing drive towards Chindi en route visiting Tatapani famous for its hot water springs. (At Tatapani you have an option for Rafting at Satluj River). Evening arrival at Chindi and Check-in to hotel. The wide Karsog Valley lies below Chindi and has good excursion spots. The morning after breakfast proceeds to visit the important temples of Karsog Valley that all link their histories back to Mahabharata. Visit Mamleshwar Temple, said to have existed since the Mahabharata era, Mamleshwar Temple is situated around 13 Km away from Chindi, which is the headquarters of the valley. Built-in wood and slate by the Pandavas, the temple is dedicated to Mahadev. It is also home to an undying sacred fire. Visit Kamaksha Devi Temple located in the village of Kau, Kamakshi Devi Temple is another famous temple situated around 17 Km away from Chindi. The idol inside the temple is made of Ashtadhatu or eight primary metals. The temple is dedicated to Devi Kamakshi. The intricately carved woodwork of the temple is the major crowd puller. The morning after breakfast proceeds towards Sarahan. The Gods were generous when they gave Sarahan (2165m) its settings. located halfway up a high mountainside, the road to Sarahan winds past flowering Pine trees that give way to stately Oaks. Dozens of small streams rush past. The fields and orchards that surround the small villages with their slate-roofed houses, compose pictures of pastoral perfection. Above Sarahan, many deodar trees ride the slopes and higher still, encircling the Bashal peak, are trees of smooth birch and a variety of wildflowers and rare medicinal herbs. This sparsely populated tract is steeped in ancient legends and here is the famous Bhimakali temple regarded as one of the 51 sacred Shakti Peeths. The temple’s unusual architecture and wealth of carvings have made it a resplendent example of what is loosely called the Indo-Tibetan style. Deep down the alley flows the river Sutlej and across lies the snow-clad Shrikhand peak. Overnight at hotel.
Morning after breakfast proceed towards Tirthan Valley. Situated in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, Tirthan Valley is an awesome travel destination for all the adventure buffs out there. Lying about 3 km away from the entrance of the Great Himalayan National Park, this valley introduces you to the enriching ultimate beauty of nature comprising sky-touching Himalayan peaks, organic scent of the soil flowing along with the crisp winds, apple orchards, vast sky and so much more. Evening free to admire the beauty of valley. You can spend some time in the village market to spend some time with locals. Overnight at hotel.
Spend a day with a walk in Great Himalayan National Park. Actually, it is a nice hike which starts from Gushaini. You go back via the same way. The trail to the Park Gate goes smoothly along with the Tirthan river, crossing a few villages and some beautiful forests. This hike is a good choice for those who want to approach the Park in only one day. At the gate, the Tirthan river and its environment are fascinating. There are no steep slopes on the way and so it is accessible to anyone with an average fitness. The difference of altitude between Gushaini and the Park's gate is only 430 metres. It takes approximately 3 hours to go to the gate and 2 hours to come back. Overnight at hotel
Shangarh is known for its temples, harrowing a rich history that is seen in their architecture. One of the most revered local shrines, the Shangchul Mahadev Temple, is located right in Shangarh Meadows. It appears as a bold brown structure amid a sea of green grass, catching your eye at once. Another majestic temple showing extraordinary wood craftmanship is the Tower Temple, in the village of Raila. Standing tall to offer a magnanimous view of the many settlements of the valley, the twin towers of Raila are a must-visit. With small rooms cramped up on every storey, these towers used to house people at some point of time. Overnight at hotel.
Chehni Kothi is a secluded and pristine village up in the hills in Jibhi valley. Located at an altitude of about 2145 meters above sea level, this village is known for its two temple towers. According to the folklore, the temples are more than 1500 years old. Chehni Kothi is an old Himachali style building made of only stones and wood without using cement. You need to hike for 1 hour from the Shringa Rishi temple in Bagi village near Jibhi. There are actually two towers one is the taller one which we call Chehni Kothi and then there is one more which has been turned into a temple now.
